MAST YEAR CIDER COLLECTIVE'S INAUGURAL RELEASE
Mast Year Cider Collective is a worker-owned company specializing in artisan hard ciders made from wild or abandoned apples and pears foraged in Columbia and Walla Walla counties. They collect this fruit by hand, ferment it using native yeasts, and bottle it unfiltered. You can usually find them in Suite H of the Blue Mountain Station, but we’re delighted to have them with us during Waitsburg’s Hometown Christmas.

Gotta have grit to get the bandana
The competitors of the Walla Walla gravel cycling event Grit, put on by Allegro Cyclery, were lucky enough to receive a very cool bandana designed by Waitsburg graphic designer and cycling enthusiast Becky Wilson of Wilson Design Company.
The lung-burning routes covered 45, 65, and 95 mile loops of hardcore gravel riding on September 8, and yet even the least athletic amongst us would have been tempted to enter to just to secure this awesome bandana.

Our very own Paul Gregutt is the featured artist at this week's Wednesday Unfiltered. He picked up his first guitar in high school; engineered at Electric Lady Studios after college; signed a songwriter contract in Nashville and worked as a DJ at Seattle's legendary KZAM-FM while pursuing a songwriting career.
Currently he sings and plays with the DavePaul5 at venues throughout Walla Walla. Drawing upon a deep and varied songbook that includes dozens of originals, Paul’s rare solo shows focus on his fingerpicking skills as he reinvigorates classic songs by Dylan, Neil Young, Gram Parsons and John Prine.
For this special show at the Royal Block Paul will perform acoustic versions of self-penned songs from both DavePaul5 albums, along with previews of songs from his upcoming solo album.

You will learn about dough, how to throw it, dress it, and fire a pizza of your own making. At the end of class, share your culinary creation with your classmates and toast your communal meal with a glass of house wine.

The Royal Block's annual contribution to World Collage Day will celebrate poetry, wine, art, and food created by local college students, their professors, and alumni at their 2024 College \ Collage event. Oakes and Jonlick met as neighbors 15 years ago, and Craft is the first person Oakes read with in Walla Walla. They have since gone separate ways, but through the arts they maintain connections and seek to build local communities around creativity.

Anyone who has ever attended a show put on by Nancy Wells and her daughters Jennifer and Justine Clark of the Walla Walla Dance Company, understands that this is no dance recital. This is a professionally-produced extravaganza! Case in point, The Spindarellas, the 2024 Winter Performance which was on stage at Cordiner Hall on February 3.
